SEATTLE summer 2000
Returning to Seattle after a six month absence I found many changes:
all the new buildings and construction frenzy, the seemingly boundless
new prosperity and particularly the frantic spending spree Seattle is reveling
in.
Such affluence of riches must generate an interesting affluence of
waste. I started rummaging around to see what "Seattle Basura" woudl be...Compared
to Mexico where old parts and bits and pieces of radio, television and
car are saved and sold to repair and rebuild, finding quasi new computers
and other electronic equipment thrown away ...was Basura beyond my wildest
dreams: "high tech basura"!
